Prime Time distinguishes established experience from developing work, and responsibility from results. This page identifies relevant contributions without claiming outcomes that cannot yet be documented.
Contribution: Founded in 2018 to connect tutoring, mentoring, encouragement, caregiver communication, and stronger school engagement.
Public value: The experience established Prime Time’s people-centered approach and demonstrated why academic progress, confidence, relationships, and accountability must be addressed together.
Evidence boundary: Individual student information and unverified outcome totals are not published.
Contribution: Chuck Grigsby chaired the East Lansing community study process that brought residents, police representatives, city staff, and policy expertise into the development of an independent oversight framework.
Public value: The work translated community concerns about accountability into a structured governmental process capable of producing a durable institutional model.
Evidence boundary: Grigsby helped develop and advance the framework but has not served as a member of the resulting oversight commission.
Contribution: Elected to the East Lansing City Council in 2025 and selected by colleagues as Mayor Pro Tem, with responsibilities involving public safety, budgeting, infrastructure, community development, executive oversight, and regional collaboration.
Public value: Municipal service provides direct experience translating values and public expectations into collective decisions, administrative direction, and accountable follow-through.
Evidence boundary: City authority belongs to the council collectively; individual service is not presented as unilateral control or personal ownership of city outcomes.
Contribution: Served as an Investigator II with the Iowa Attorney General’s Crime Victim Assistance Division, reviewing cases and records, assessing eligibility, developing recommendations, and coordinating with law-enforcement agencies and service providers.
Public value: The role developed a practical understanding of how documentation, professional judgment, institutional handoffs, and policy affect people seeking assistance.
Contribution: Prime Time has developed relationships and explored opportunities connected to youth development, institutional learning, public-service leadership, and capacity-building in Liberia.
Public value: The work applies a consistent method across settings: listen, understand local priorities, build trust, define roles, and pursue initiatives that partners can sustain.
Evidence boundary: Meetings and photographs do not establish government sponsorship, institutional endorsement, a contract, or a formal partnership.
Dates, audiences, scope, responsibilities, and work products will be recorded for appropriate engagements.
Results will be reported only when measurement is appropriate, records are reliable, and privacy can be protected.
Testimonials, partner names, logos, photographs, and quotations will appear only with authorization.
Privacy and dignity
Prime Time will not publish student records, disciplinary histories, case details, personal contact information, or identifiable stories involving minors merely to demonstrate impact. Examples may be anonymized, aggregated, or withheld when public presentation could create risk.
